I work at the intersection of postcolonial studies, Digital Humanities, infrastructure studies, and hermeneutic theory. My research examines how systems that claim to be neutral or universal embed particular historical and political conditions—and what those conditions mean for participation and interpretation.
My PhD in English at Aligarh Muslim University (2025) explored the politics of space and identity in theatre. Its attention to spatial organisation and postcolonial difference informs my current work on digital platforms, simulation networks, and AI reading environments.
I am the founder of SHABD India, a core team member of E-Lit India, and a corresponding and lead guest editor for a JUMP special issue on digital marginalisation in South Asia. I also create electronic literature.
I joined Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University, as Guest Faculty in September 2026. I previously taught at AMU as a contractual Assistant Professor through July 2025 and as an ad hoc Assistant Professor from 23 July to 23 August 2025. I read and work in English and Hindi, with working knowledge of Urdu.
